Game Notes: Union vs. Columbus Crew SC (June 1, 2016)

Philadelphia Union return home to Talen Energy Stadium on Wednesday to put their seven game unbeaten run on the line in an Eastern Conference matchup against Columbus Crew. This will be the second fixture between the clubs this season, with the Union winning the first contest on March 12 at Mapfre Stadium, 2-1.

The Union enter Wednesday’s match having secured two points from two road matches the previous week – at Orlando City on Wednesday and at Colorado over the weekend. Late dramatics helped Philadelphia snatch a point against the Rapids, with Brian Carroll getting on the end of a Fabian Herbers’ header to level the match in the 92nd minute of play.
