Game Notes: D.C. United (May 20, 2016)

Philadelphia and D.C. United will square off Friday night on national television, in the first edition of MLS’ Heineken Rivalry Week. The two clubs are separated by just two points in the standings. This is the first of three matches between these two rivals in 2016. The clubs meet again at Talen Energy Stadium on July 9, then for a final time in D.C. on August 4.

The Union are coming home after earning a well-deserved point in Montreal. C.J. Sapong recorded the equalizing goal in the 24th minute. After pressure from both sides the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
