Freese leaves first half with abdominal injury

For the second time in three games, the Philadelphia Union have had a starting goalkeeper leave a match early with an injury.

Matthew Freese, making his second career MLS start and first at home, left the match in the 40th minute with an abdominal injury he appeared to have picked up when he made a diving stop on a Nick Hagglund shot in the 10th minute. The 20-year-old was favoring his left side after making the save and after receiving attention played another 30 minutes before leaving a half hour later.

Carlos Miguel Coronel replaced him.
