Fight For Philly initiative kicks off with free lunches and glove donation

After Philadelphia Union and the Philadelphia Union Foundation announced earlier this week its “FIGHT FOR PHILLY” initiative, the first of five planned donations took place this week.

With the help of community assistance programs enhanced by a donation of at least $55,000 from Captain Morgan, the Union were able to deliver 1,000 Chick-Fil-A lunches to frontline medical workers at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

The donations didn't end with just free lunches as the Union partnered with Spectra to donate 3,000 pairs of unused gloves from Subaru Stadium to the City of Chester Fire Department

For fans interested in getting involved in the relief effort, “FIGHT FOR PHILLY” t-shirts are available to purchase, and all net proceeds will go toward the platform’s charitable efforts
