This is a weird weekend for the Union.
The Union sit in fourth place in the East with 40 points. Toronto and New York Red Bulls are seated ahead of them in third and second place with 43 points, respectively. NYCFC is at the top of the table with 44 points. Montreal Impact are just three points behind the Union and pose the biggest threat to their positioning; pretty straightforward so far.
This is where things get weird. Essentially, the Union won’t move from their fourth place standings this weekend no matter what happens on Saturday. Let me explain.
