A win and (essentially) they’re in
With a win on Sunday afternoon, and a New England loss or draw, Union will 100% be in the playoffs this postseason.
Union are sixth in the East heading into this weekend, with New England trailing behind by three points, one win, and 13 in goal differential. Goal differential is turning out to be the Union’s best friend as the season winds down. If the Revolution wins their match on Sunday, mathematically they could still be in the running for the playoffs, but would have to score 14 goals while conceding none to pass Union.
