Evan Vare named Gatorade Player of the Year for Pennsylvania

Central Bucks East forward Evan Vare has a Pennsylvania Boys Soccer Player of the Year award to add to his trophy case.

The star of the Class AAA state champions scored 42 goals and added 13 assists in his senior season while leading the Patriots to a 26-0 record. The Lafayette College recruit was the 2015 Pennsylvania Soccer Association Player of the Year and a two-time First Team All-State selection as well as an NSCAA All-American.

He scored a goal and added an assist in the Patriots' 2-0 win over Seneca Valley in the state final.

"Evan was the best high school player I’ve seen in my 10-plus years of coaching," Kyle McGrath, head coach of Hatboro-Horsham High said in a press release.
