Earlier this week, MLS announced their Team of the Week honors. For Philadelphia Union fans, it was a pleasant sight to see as center back Jack Elliott was selected to MLS Team of the Week for the second time in two matches played this season.
Elliott came up big once again for Philadelphia in their match this past weekend against Columbus Crew SC. The former West Virginia Mountaineer led the club with six clearances on Saturday and recorded the most touches by a Union player with 98 in the shutout.
Elliott was humbled by the nomination but also knows the hard work has just begun.
