Eastern University defender Jacob Myers was named the national DIII Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to two shutout victories on both sides of the field.
The sophomore from Westminster, Maryland recorded a brace in a 7-0 win over Wilkes University and helped the back line edge King’s College in a 1-0 win. Myers and the Eastern defense allowed only three shots on goal over the span of 180 minutes in the two matches.
Myers, who played club soccer for Baltimore Bays, is fourth on the team in goals with four and has an assist.
