Derrick Jones makes U-20 USMNT debut in 3-3 draw against Ecuador

The U-20 United States Men's National Team kicked off its quest for the U-20 FIFA World Cup on May 22, when the team played Ecuador to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the opening game of the group stage. And Philadelphia Union fans may have spotted a familiar face on the pitch for a majority of the match.

In the 34th minute, Derrick Jones made his USMNT debut when he replaced Gedion Zelalem, who had to leave the match due to injury. Jones played 56 minutes in the match. In the 80th minute, he received a yellow card, his first international caution.
