Villanova knocked off their second ranked opponent of the year with a win over Delaware while Rider knocked off their second Philadelphia Soccer Six opponent of the year

A penalty kick save and two second half goals led Villanova to a 2-1 upset Sunday afternoon over No. 22 Delaware.

The loss was the first of the season for the Blue Hens, which had held opponents scoreless for more than 400 minutes to start the season.

Senior forward Padraic McCullaugh broke Delaware’s scoreless streak in the 47th minute on an unassisted goal and Philadelphia Union Academy grad Zach Zandi set up Miguel Polley with a cross for the eventual game-winner in the 62nd minute.
