Accountability was the word of the day at Jim Curtin’s press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
He began his message to the media addressing the team’s “unacceptable performance” on Sunday afternoon and the feeling that they disappointed not just themselves, but the fans as well. He said the team held a meeting earlier this week to talk about accountability, with both the coaching staff and the players sharing blame.
“A lot of players spoke up too and took some blame as well. I think it’s a good sign and shows we’re in this together…. It’s kind of commonplace for the coach to take blame, because I’m ultimately in charge, but for whatever reason it didn’t feel like us.
