Costa Rican teenager Eduardo Juárez Viales has a had a chance to display the skill that earned him a spot on his country’s U20 World Cup squad in front of the Bethlehem Steel FC technical staff this week.
The 18-year-old central midfielder is part of the youth setup for Costa Rican club LD Alajuelense and has represented Costa Rica in both the U20 and U17 World Cups.
Costa Rican media reported last week that Juárez would be on a 10-day trial with the Philadelphia Union, but as was the case with Haitian youth international Ronaldo Damus in early June, his trial appears to be for a potential USL roster spot.
