Cory Burke Named to Jamaica’s National Team Squad for Caribbean Cup

Bethlehem Steel FC forward Cory Burke has been named to the Jamaica’s national team squad for the 2017 Caribbean Cup. Burke the and Reggae Boyz will face off against French Guiana in the semifinals on Thursday, June 22.

This is Burke’s fifth consecutive senior team call up after he received his first call-up of 2017, making three appearances in a pair of international friendlies. He started vs. the USA on February 3 and came on as a second-half substitute vs. Honduras on February 16. Recently, Burke started for the club at Peru, playing 70 minutes.

Late last year, Burke helped the Reggae Boyz to victories over Guyana and Suriname in Caribbean Cup qualification, notching his first international goal in the extra time win over Guyana in October.
