West Chester native Zach Zandi was named player of the year in the Philly Soccer 6 at a banquet held Wednesday night.
The Philadelphia Union Academy grad and star Villanova midfielder was one of four Wildcats on the All-Star Team, which included two from Temple (Divin Fula Luzolo and Mark Grasela), two from Penn (Joe Swenson and Sam Wancowicz) and one each from Drexel (Sebastien Cabral), La Salle (Matt Robinson) and Saint Joseph’s (Matt Crawford).
Union Academy grad Shane Bradley (Havertown, Pa.) also made the All-Star team.
Outgoing Temple head coach received the Coach of the Year honor while Owls freshman Alan Comacho Soto, a Vancouver Whitecaps academy alum, was named Rookie of the Year and Penn defender Casey Barone was the Academic Player of the Year.
