Going into his freshman season at Lafayette, there was little question that reigning high school Pennsylvania Player of the Year Evan Vare could score. It was just a question of whether he could find the back of the net as consistently at the Division 1 college level as he did in high school at Central Bucks East and for his club Lehigh Valley United.
In recent weeks, Vare has answered that question with an emphatic yes. The Jamison, Pa. native already has a half dozen goals to his name after his team suffered four straight shutouts to start the season and has scored in all five of the Leopards (5-5-0) wins this season.
