Bruce Arena named USMNT manager

That didn’t take long. Bruce Arena, who previously coached D.C. United, The USMNT, New York Red Bulls, and LA Galaxy has been named as the replacement for Jurgen Klinsmann after a pair of disastrous showings against Mexico and Costa Rica saw the USMNT position open up. Arena is undoubtedly one of the best coaches (maybe even the best in all honesty) in the United States, and his first tenure with the Yanks speaks to that. Arena is a very solid 75-28-27 from his first tenure from 1998-2006, which also saw the MNT make the ‘02 and ‘06 World Cups, as well as winning the Gold Cup in ‘02 and ‘05.
