D.C. United's Luciano Acosta and Philadelphia Union midfielder Borek Dockal finished the 2018 MLS regular season tied for the honor of MLS assist leader with 17 each. It's the first time each player has won the honor.
Acosta, in his third season in MLS, reached double-digits in helpers for the second time and scored a career-high 10 MLS goals. The 24-year-old's highlights include a three-assist game in a 5-0 home rout over the Montreal Impact. His stellar September earned him MLS Player of the Month honors.
