With the help of a conference foe, Bethlehem Steel FC has earned a spot in the USL Playoffs for the first time in the club’s modern history.
Steel FC claimed the coveted playoff spot Thursday evening, as Orlando City B fell, 2-0, to their I-4 rival the Tampa Bay Rowdies at the new Orlando City Stadium. Steel FC can finish as high as the sixth position in the Eastern Conference table this weekend should the club win their regular season finale and the New York Red Bulls lose or draw their finale at Toronto FC II.
The official USL affiliate of the Philadelphia Union, Steel FC claimed one of the eight conference playoff spots in the club’s second season of their modern existence.
