Bethlehem Steel FC acquires five additional international roster spots for 2019 season

Philadelphia Union Sporting Director Ernst Tanner’s first team roster appears to be set for now, but he hasn’t finished making deals to reshape the second team roster.

Bethlehem Steel FC has acquired five additional international slots in cash deals with Ottawa Fury, Loudoun United and Sacramento Republic FC, the team announced on Friday afternoon.

The dollar amounts of the deals with the three teams was not disclosed, but it brings the number of available international spots for Steel FC to 12 for the 2019 season. Steel FC received two spots from D.C. United’s USL Championship, one from Ottawa and two from Sacramento.
