Bethlehem Steel FC Acquire Goalkeeper Samir Badr

Bethlehem Steel FC have acquired goalkeeper Samir Badr from Colorado Springs Switchbacks, the club announced Friday. Per club and league policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are happy to be adding a young talented goalkeeper to our core,” said Bethlehem Steel FC head coach Brendan Burke. “We believe Samir has the potential to progress beyond the USL at some stage and we are excited to see what he can do with us in 2016.”

Badr, 23, joins Steel FC after playing the past two seasons in USL for Colorado Springs Switchbacks and Oklahoma Energy FC, in which he appeared in 19 games and logged 1,723 minutes.
