The Union officially kicked off the 2016 season with their first training session on Monday inside of a dry Dunning-Cohen Champions Field on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus. Outside, the rest of Philadelphia and much of the northeast continues to dig out of a snowstorm that battered the area over the weekend, forcing a cancellation of Sunday’s session.
Day one brought a first look at many Union newcomers including Chris Pontius, Walter Restrepo and six draft picks (center back Anderson Conceicao is expected to join the club tomorrow after some flight difficulties).
