Alejandro Bedoya had himself quite a game against Atlanta United FC.
Bedoya's bread and butter with the Union has been his box-to-box play. He has an engine that just doesn't quit, and he ends up making plays on both sides of the ball. That play was on display Saturday.
Bedoya made two key blocks in the 26th minute, right as Atlanta was pressing on offense. Bedoya blocked one shot at the top of the box, and the ball bounced to another Atlanta attacker, forcing him to make a second block just a second later. His two blocks were just part of his defensive effort, where he finished the day with seven recoveries, two blocks, one tackle and one clearance.
