Way back in preseason, Head Coach Jim Curtin tried out a pairing for the defensive middles: Alejandro Bedoya and Haris Medunjanin. The two built chemistry, played well together and even roomed together. But once the season started, rookie Derrick Jones played the No. 8 while Bedoya slotted up to the No. 10.
Now, the two are back together, and it's not necessarily a coincidence the Union are playing some of the best soccer all season.
"The relationship they have, they're really good soccer players," Curtin said. "I'm proud of the way that they've played and their leadership roles in the middle of the field.
