Philadelphia Union and Bethlehem Steel FC were well represented in last night’s World Cup Qualifying matches. Midfielder Alejandro Bedoya started for the United States Men’s National Team, while goalkeeper Andre Blake and midfielder Cory Burke started for Jamaica.
The USMNT finished the semifinal round in the 2018 World Cup qualifying group C with a 4-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago, launching them into a first place finish with a 4-1-1 record. Bedoya logged 66 minutes for his country in Tuesday’s win. The advancement out of the semi-final round sets up an epic match against Mexico to open the final round of World Cup qualifying play.
