Players rack up fines and suspensions
Seven players were issued fines of an undisclosed amount and/or suspensions at the end of Week 13 by the MLS Disciplinary Committee. Two players were fined, as Portland Timbers midfielder Sebastian Blanco was fined for his contact with Seattle Sounders Cristian Roldan and Atlanta United defender Tyrone Mears was also fined for his contact with New York City FC’s Rodney Wallace.
Suspensions were also issued for several players. DC United forward Jose Guillermo Ortiz, Colorado Rapids defender Bobby Burling, NYCFC defender RJ Allen and Minnesota United FC midfielder Sam Cronin have all been issued fines and suspensions for one game.
