Andre Blake's kick stop against Bradley Wright-Phillips named Save of the Month

In one of his best performances of the season, Andre Blake made a stop against New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips, which earned him September's Save of the Month.

In the 76th minute, Sacha Kljestan was awarded a free kick right next to the box. On the restart, he sent in a cross that forced Blake to intercept it. The ball found its way to Bradley Wright-Phillips, and Blake made a Hextall-like kick save to deny a goal.

His save was just one of eight in the match, tying his season high and the most since the 2016 season opener.
