Andre Blake wins MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award

It’s official: the Philadelphia Union’s Andre Blake is the best goalkeeper in Major League Soccer, winning the MLS Allstate Goalkeeper of the Year award. Blake beat out New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles and Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Tim Howard to take home the award.

In his first full season in net for the Union, the first overall pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft played in 32 of 34 games, missing only two games while with the Jamaica National Team in the Copa America. Blake amassed six shutouts, 99 saves, and a 1.56 goals against average.

"I'm extremely grateful for this award.
