Andre Blake will be lone Philadelphia Union representative at MLS All-Star Game

First place in the Eastern Conference wasn’t enough to land the Philadelphia Union more than one player in the MLS All-Star Game, but the Union will have an All-Star for the first time since 2016 with Andre Blake on the squad.

Blake, who was selected by All-Star head coach James O’Connor, is the first repeat selection for the Union, which have landed eight other players on the all-star teams in franchise history. He and Keegan Rosenberry were named to the squad in 2016.

The 28-year-old Jamaican international will join veteran goalkeepers Brad Guzan and Nick Rimando on the team that will face 10-time La Liga champions Atlético Madrid at Exploria Stadium in Orlando on Wednesday, July 31.
