Philadelphia Union captain Alejandro Bedoya will likely miss Sunday’s season finale against New York City FC with a quad injury sustained against Columbus Crew on Sunday.
“This weekend’s game will be difficult to turn around for, but with our medical staff, he’ll be turned around and ready for the big playoff game,” head coach Jim Curtin said during his weekly press conference on Thursday.
Curtin noted that Bedoya was doing rehab work in the locker room on Thursday and that this the first muscle injury of the 32-year-old’s career.
