Slow starts have plagued the Union in recent memory and there was little doubt that setting the right tone from the season opener was a priority for Earnie Stewart and Jim Curtin in 2016.
But back-to-back road trips to Dallas and Columbus to start the year was a bit daunting to say the least. After falling 2-0 against FC Dallas, the Union were back on the road for an opponent’s home opener against the defending Eastern Conference champions.
But while the 2-1 road win was widely acclaimed throughout the league, the Union head coach isn’t quite satisfied yet.
