Following the best performance of the season from the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night, there was a lot to be positive about.
The offense scored four times, the back line held up under pressure and fans in the stands finally had reason to celebrate. Head coach Jim Curtin said as much in his post-game press conference.
“Overall, I thought a very strong performance from the group,” he said. “We talked a lot about if we did not back up a good performance in Montreal with another one it would be meaningless.”
But he also touched on a familiar theme this season when he said the Union “Probably should have scored four or five goals in the first half.
