After scoring his first professional goal and notching an assist this past weekend, midfielder Adam Najem was voted to the USL Team of the Week after his standout performance against New York Red Bulls II.
Najem, a member of the Philadelphia Union who has been loaned to Steel FC for nine matches this season, had a breakout performance against his former organization. The 22-year-old helped push the club’s winning streak to four and continue the team’s push up the USL Eastern Conference standings where they sit in fifth place.
Playing just miles from his hometown of Clifton, NJ, Najem notched the opening goal on a curling strike from just inside the 18-yard box.
