The Union defeated Orlando City 6-1, giving the team 10 home victories in 2017, the first time in club history to win double-digit games at home. The Union roared out to a 4-0 lead at halftime, the most goals in a single half for the Union in history. Two goals in the second gave tied the Union record for the most goals in a single half, and the +5 goal differential was the largest margin of victory in team history.
There are many players who have to be on the top of their game in order to have a record-breaking performance such as the Union did Saturday, but one of the key players all season was CJ Sapong, who broke history of his own.
