Coming off an impressive rookie season, one where he played every minute of every regular season match and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting, expectations were understandably high for Keegan Rosenberry. However, Rosenberry had to battle through adversity for the entire season, one that saw him have to fight for his starting role.

Rosenberry entered the 2017 season as the team's starting right back, and started the first six matches for the Union, playing the full 90 minutes in every match. However, against Montreal, Rosenberry saw himself outside of the starting XI for the first time in his career.
