The installation of the Union's Year in Review is the guy who played the most minutes out of anyone on the team: Haris Medunjanin.

Medunjanin joined the Union after bouncing around in European and Middle Eastern soccer, officially signing with the team on January 31. He came to the Union's preseason, where he became acclimated with his Union teammates, especially with Alejandro Bedoya, with whom he shared a holding mid pairing with in the exhibition games.

Once the season started, though, Bedoya played the No. 10 and Medunjanin was paired up with Derrick Jones. Medunjanin started his very first MLS match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and the following week, started his first game in front of the Talen Energy Stadium crowd, where he also registered his first MLS assist.
