Twelve teams from the greater Philadelphia region will begin their quest for a U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship in Overland Park, Kansas on Tuesday.
Three teams from South Jersey and nine from Eastern Pennsylvania are part of the national championships for 13U through 19U age groups.
The Medford-based Real Jersey FC is the only club from the area with more than one team — they have a girls team in the 13U division and a boys team in the 15U boys division.
The first day of games will feature a local derby between Future Players Academy and Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals in the 18U boys division.
