Sacramento Republic FC supporters have committed to buying at least 10,000 season tickets if the club is promoted to Major League Soccer this December, the team reports.
Most of the 10,000 fans are current Republic FC season-ticket holders, the club said in a news release. Republic FC set USL attendance records in each of its first two seasons and finished second in the league this year with 11,569 attendees per game.
“We’re proud of and thankful to our fans for this incredible outpouring of support,” said Republic FC Chairman and CEO Kevin Nagle said in a statement.
