Last night, Edmundo Sosa had the dreaded “triple shy of a cycle” game in which, yes, he needed to simply hit a triple and he’d have had the team’s eleventh cycle in team history. It happens a lot since the triple is usually the hardest part of the cycle to attain, but Sosa seemed like a decent bet to be able to do it. He’s got the power and the speed, so maybe he’d have had a shot.
