What a way to make a livin’: Phillies 9, Rockies 5

The train rolled on as the Philadelphia Phillies (31-18) continued their demolition of the Colorado Rockies (8-41) with a 9-5 win on Wednesday night.

Taijuan Walker picked up the win in his return to the rotation, going 5.0 IP with 3 ER.

The Rockies’ lefthanded martyr, Carson Palmquist, took the L in his second career start, coughing up seven runs in 4.1 innings of work.

A night after putting up 17 hits, the Phillies got another 12 to go along with five walks against the host staff.

Trea Turner and Bryce Harper opened the game with a pair of singles and came home to score on a throwing error by Rockies’ catcher, Hunter Goodman, and a sacrifice fly by Nick Castellanos.
