PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Folks around the Delaware Valley are still smiling as they head into work on Monday morning, almost two days after Cole Hamels threw a no-hitter on Saturday afternoon in Chicago.
Hamels, amid swirling trade rumors, threw the 13th no-no in Phillies’ history and the first against the Cubs in 50 years (Sandy Koufax, 1965). Hamels, 31, allowed just two walks, while striking out 13 en route to a 5-0 Phillies win.
Comcast SportsNet obtained video of Hamels and his teammate celebrating in the locker room with Bud Light, after the game.
