Back in spring training, which seems like years ago, Howard Eskin hilariously misspelled McCutchen’s name in a tweet. From there, Phillies fans and teammates began referring to the Phillies slugger by the nickname Larry:

The name stuck and McCutchen began releasing videos on his social media accounts featuring Uncle Larry.
