PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies right-hander Vince Velasquez carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning of Thursday afternoon's 9-3 victory over the Rockies at Citizens Bank Park, giving Philladelphia its first series victory since it took two of three from the Braves on May 21-23.

Velasquez recorded two outs in the seventh inning before he walked Carlos Gonzalez. Trevor Story doubled down the left-field line to score Gonzalez and cut the Phillies' lead to one. It was the end of the no-hit bid and shutout bid, as well as Velasquez's afternoon. With his starter at 105 pitches, manager Gabe Kapler went to the bullpen.
