TORONTO — Phillies television play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy will not be on the NBC Sports Philadelphia call for Tuesday’s Phillies vs. Blue Jays game. He’ll be in New York calling Yankees vs. Guardians for TBS alongside New York Mets color commentator Ron Darling.
Scott Franzke will fill in on television for McCarthy for the second time this season. He’ll call Tuesday’s game alongside color commentator Rubén Amaro Jr. Franzke was in the TV booth for the May 23 game against the Athletics in Sacramento. McCarthy will be back in the Phillies television booth for Wednesday’s game.
