Should the Phillies Make a Move for Mullins?

Yesterday, Alex Coll of 94 WIP had some information that ought to be of interest to the Phaithful:

Mullins hit .200/.200/.700 for 2023’s World Baseball Classic runners-up, and while landing exactly at the Mendoza line isn’t going to attract you many admirers, thumping your way to a .700 slugging percentage will. At the moment, Mullins is slashing .226/.320/.446 for an Orioles club that is in the midst of what appears to be a lost season and can be counted on to be in a selling-minded mood soon enough.

Depending on which lens you view this potential move through, Mullins either makes a good deal of sense, or little: it is true that neither Brandon Marsh nor Johan Rojas have exerted a vise grip on the center field job; it’s also true that the Phillies have arguably more pressing needs to devote their capital to.
