When Seranthony Dominguez arrived onto the major league scene in 2018, he demonstrated some exciting stuff, making him one of their most trusted relievers at the time. There were hopes, based on his early performance, the Phillies finally found their next closer.
However, that first impression has taken an unfortunate sharp left turn.
According to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb, Seranthony Dominguez is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery. He will miss all of the 2020 season and at the very least, the majority of 2021.
