Scott Kingery stays hot as Phillies bouce back to beat Diamondbacks

The Phillies desperately needed a bounce-back victory Tuesday after getting clobbered, 13-8, by the Arizona Diamondbacks Monday night. They did just that as they defeated Arizona 7-4 to move to 38-29 on the season.

Jake Arrieta took the mound for the Phillies, while Jon Duplantier got the start for the Diamondbacks. The Phillies were able to get on the board in the bottom of the second. After two straight singles by J.T. Realmuto and Jay Bruce, Scott Kingery delivered a three-run home run that gave the Phillies a 3-0 lead. It was Kingery’s seventh home run of the season:
