Philadelphia Phillies player information coordinator Sam Fuld has declined interviews with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs and New York Mets for their managerial vacancies, per a report from Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors.
It appears Fuld, who has served as player information coordinator since November 2017, will be staying within the Phillies organization. It is unclear whether or not he is an internal candidate for the the manager position in Philadelphia. Buck Showalter and Joe Girardi were reportedly interviewed Monday, while Dusty Baker’s meeting with the Phillies brass will take place some time later this week.
