Report: Gosselin, Parker placed on waivers

Just a few short hours after reportedly outrighting Adam Morgan and Heath Hembree, the Phillies have removed two more players from the 40-man roster. According to 6ABC’s Jeff Skversky, utility man Phil Gosselin is being placed on waivers. NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark also reports that Blake Parker has been outrighted.

Gosselin, a native of West Chester, PA, emerged as the best Phillies designated hitter in 2020, slashing .406/.486/.656 in that spot. Gosselin also proved to be very versatile for them. He played all over the infield and outfield. All in all, the 32-year-old has appeared in 83 games for the Phillies in parts of two seasons.
