Ranger Suárez dominated as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-0, in their series finale on Thursday, Sept. 4, at American Family Field. An RBI single from Trea Turner in the seventh was the winning run. The Phillies added on another in the ninth on a Bryson Stott RBI double.
Suárez allowed no runs and struck out four in six innings of work. David Robertson, Matt Strahm and Jhoan Duran followed to shut out the Brewers in the final game of the series.
Both Suárez and Freddy Peralta battled on the mound in a matchup between two National League leaders in their respective divisions.
